I am a senior executive with extensive experience as Chief Operations and Chief Financial Officer, with a background spanning finance, governance, risk, operations, and organisational performance, alongside marketing, digital, and IT transformation. I thrive on aligning strategy, finance, and operations to drive both purpose and performance.

With multi-sector experience across aviation, professional services, media, technology, and not-for-profit, I bring breadth of perspective and adaptability. I am especially proud to be supporting Australian Multicultural Community Services through a period of significant change and reform in aged care, helping the organisation not just navigate complexity but thrive. Passionate about inspiring high-performing teams, I focus on building positive culture and leading transformation that delivers meaningful impact for the communities we serve.

I’m passionate about creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and able to do their best work. As Chief People Officer at AMCS, I focus on building a positive employee experience and helping our teams thrive. With experience across government, non-profit, and private sectors, I bring a broad understanding of how to support people in community services.

I care deeply about inclusivity, professional growth, and ensuring everyone feels they belong. Outside of work, I stay connected through volunteering, fostering meaningful relationships and contributing to social impact.

For me, people and culture is about connection, respect, and creating an environment where individuals and organisations can flourish. Driven by a passion for belonging and engagement, I’m motivated to make a lasting impact in people and culture, helping AMCS and its people continue to grow, connect, and make a difference.

I come to AMCS with over 20 years of experience in the Community Health sector having successfully navigated a range of government reforms including NDIS, Carers and Aged Care. I am driven by a deep-seated passion for equity, particularly within diverse communities, to identify and eliminate barriers for access and support, and ensure equal opportunity and participation for all. This is very much motivated by a combination of my inherent values and professional and personal experiences.

I am an inclusive and collaborative leader who thrives on building individuals, teams and organisations to be the best that they can and applying innovative and contemporary approaches to achieve transformational change.

I am honoured to serve as the CEO of AMCS and consider it a privilege to lead a dedicated team that works to improve the lives of people from migrant backgrounds

Narelle has been providing health, safety, wellness, quality, risk management and governance expertise to industry for over 18 years. Whilst Narelle has predominately worked in the public and private healthcare and aged care sector she has also consulted for construction, manufacturing, hospitality, agricultural and transport companies.

She is a qualified Registered Nurse and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Postgraduate Certificate in Wellness, TAE and Lead Auditor qualifications.

Narelle is passionate about advocating for residents and client preferences and enabling people to live the life they choose. She is committed to ensuring high quality care is accessible and available and systems can provide efficiencies so that there is more time to care.

Currently, I am working as a Senior Manager within an in-house legal team. My areas of legal practice include risk, regulatory, significant projects and litigation. I have extensive legal experience within private practice and government agencies. Before completing my law degree, I achieved a Bachelor of Science and Honours in physiological science.

I have served on numerous Boards and Committees, most recently on Seymour Health Board and have a particular interest in the healthcare sector. My interests outside of work include walking, swimming, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

I joined the board because my range of skills and experiences, particularly in financial and business management, can assist in delivering and broadening the range of services to our current and future clients. I have a diverse and extensive business background, spanning a broad range of industries, including IT, manufacturing, financial services, management consulting and not-for-profit. I’ve held positions in general management, CFO, and executive and non-executive director levels, for local and international organisations.

I was the President of the St Vincent de Paul Society in high school and previously on the UNICEF committee. With over 25 years’ experience in building software systems and business process engineering, I’ve worked in legal, travel, hospitality and aged care industries. I have been on the board of multiple companies and organisations and have a keen interest in corporate governance.

I hold a Bachelor of Information Technology, an Advanced Diploma Building and Construction (Management), a Diploma of Hospitality (Management) and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.

In 2006, I started as a community volunteer with Great Connections/Leadership Victoria, helping not-for-profits on various projects. In 2008, I joined the AMCS Board and later became President until 2016. I believed my skills, knowledge, and experience could be of value, particularly in strategic planning and corporate governance.

Now in 2020, I am pleased to be President again. I have extensive experience in human resources, general management, career management consulting, executive and non-executive director roles, across a wide range of organisations locally and internationally.
