Founded in 1983 to support Polish immigrants, we’ve since grown to a team of more than 274 staff and 350 volunteers from 50 countries and remain true to our founding principles: providing people with equal access to services, opportunities and joyful living.

In 1983 a visionary group of community leaders, led by the key founder Zbigniew Dabkowski, established Australian Polish Community Services (APCS) for Polish people to have equal access to social services and opportunities for their senior care. APCS started with five staff members and six volunteers.
In 2009 APCS changed the organisation name to Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) to become a multicultural organisation and support all cultures, including Australian-born.

Millennium House is a modern and vibrant multicultural community hub with a range of facilities that serves many needs. Offering a large light-filled hall seating over 130 people with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, a full kitchen for catering, and further community meeting rooms for smaller groups, Millennium House is a popular venue for multicultural groups and community organisations who are seeking a convenient space to gather, celebrate, and create special memories.
